AHD stands for Analog High-Definition cameras. AHD supports 720p and 1080p HD video resolutions. The AHD cameras use a coaxial cable for the transport of uncompressed digital video, thus allowing the migration of older lower quality analog systems, without altering the cabling infrastructure.
